Victoria Liu was the top Tiger for the second time in as many weekends on the fall season as the Princeton women's golf team wrapped Old Dominion's Evie Odom Invitational Suunday at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Va.
Liu closed with her best round of the weekend, a 68, to tie for 11th overall and finish at +3 for the weekend. College of Charleston's Emma Schimpf was the only player on the weekend to turn in three rounds below 70, winning the tournament at -9 by two strokes over Minnesota's Mariana Mesones, who had closed with a tournament-low round of 62.
Schimpf's performance helped lead C of C to a team title at +3, two strokes better than Minnesota. Princeton finished eighth at +25.
Princeton will return to competition when it co-hosts the Ivy Intercollegiate at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J. Oct. 10-11.
