Harvard didn't lead until the 79th minute, when Sophie Hirst and Hannah Bebar connected with a series of passes up field for an Ainsley Ahmadian finish to give the Crimson a 3-2 lead. Ten minutes earlier, Aslaug Gunnlaugsdottir served a corner kick that Hannah Griffin bodied in to tie it at 2-2.
Princeton was in front thanks to a successful corner of its own, coming in the 53rd minute when Lexi Hiltunen headed in a serve from Kamryn Loustau.

That goal broke a 1-1 tie that stood since the 33rd minute, when Harvard's Griffin took a pass along the end line from Gunnlaugsdottir and juked her way into a look at the goal to knot it up.
Princeton opened the scoring just 10 minutes earlier, in the 22nd minute, when Morgan Wiese began a free kick just in front of the midfield line, sending it just ahead to Gracyn Kuerner for Kuerner to serve a ball into the box. There, Heather MacNab got between a Harvard defender and keeper Hannah Gardner, bodying the ball into the goal to open the scoring and give Princeton the lead.
