Princeton Rowing Wraps Up at The Head of The Charles

CAMBRIDGE – The Head of the Charles wrapped up as all four Princeton rowing teams had entries on Sunday afternoon.
Heavyweights
In the Championship fours race, Princeton had the second best (15:42.74) and fifth (15:53.47) college times among 14 entries. A boat featuring Nick Mead '17 won the event (15:17.37).
The Tigers' varsity eight finished 11th (13:53.60) overall.
"It's always great to race at the Head of the Charles," said Princeton head coach Greg Hughes. "The fours race was an outstanding event for us with great times for our boats, highlighted by Olympian Nick Mead '17 winning it."
Men's Lightweights
Princeton's varsity eight collected second place (14:04.05) among 15 boats, trailing only Harvard (13:59.58). The Tigers' second entry crossed the line at 14:34.82.
Women's Lightweights
The Tigers' 4+ boat had the top collegiate time (18:14.54) by over two seconds in a race with 12 boats. Princeton's varsity eight just missed winning its event (15:56.49), just 1.5 seconds shy of Radcliffe.
"We're proud of the team strength showed today," said Princeton head coach Paul Rassam. "In a loaded fours event where several teams stacked their fours, our A Boat beat all the A boats and our B Boat beat all the B boats."
Women's Open Crew
The Tigers' varsity eight corralled the fourth fastest collegiate time (15:25.27). Princeton's B boat secured a 15:59.82.
