October 07, 2022 | Women's Rowing - Lightweight
PRINCETON – The two-time defending national champion Princeton women's lightweight rowing team has announced the hiring of Chris Pedicone as an assistant coach.
Pedicone comes from Drexel University where he spent one season helping the men's rowing squad earn the Dad Vail Regatta and helped the women's team to its best finish ever at the CAA Championships.
The year prior, Pedicone was at Rutgers where he was part of a staff that was named CRCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.
Pedicone is also the founder of the Cure for IBD Foundation, a non-profit that raises funds for research toward new therapies and cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, with a special focus on pediatric IBD.
The Tigers' assistant rowed as a heavyweight for Penn, graduating in 1992. As a junior, Pedicone rowed in the undefeated 2nd varsity eight that won at the Henley Royal Regatta. He was team captain his senior year, helping the varsity eight to a 3rd place finish at the Collegiate National Championship. Pedicone went on to row for the US Senior National Team in the lightweight eight at the World Rowing Championships in 1993 and 1994."
