Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at Regionals; At-Large Team Selection Advances Princeton to NCAAs

University Park, PA - The Princeton men's cross country team braved the storm at this year's NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, and finished third as a team at Penn State University.
Connor Nisbet, who finished fifth overall at this year's regional meet, was the top Tiger of the day. Nisbet finished the men's 10k race with an impressive time of 30:08.8.
Nisbet's performance resulted in a new 10k PR, compared to his last 10k race at the 2019 NCAA Regionals (30:45.6).
The team totaled 73 points to take third, Georgetown took second with 58, and Villanova took first place as a team with 36 points.
The Tigers had all seven participating runners cross the line to finish among the Top-35, and five Tigers were named to the All-Region team via a Top-25 finish.
The All Region honorees included Connor Nisbet who finished fifth, (30:08.8) Jack Stanley who came in 14th, (30:20.7) Daniel O'Brien in 17th, (30:27.9) Joshua Zelek in 18th, (30:28.4) and Jarrett Kirk in 19th. (30:35.0)
Nisbet and the men's team will be back, racing again next week in Stillwater, Oklahoma after being selected as an at-large team to advance to the NCAA DI Championships. Princeton was one of 13 at-large teams selected to advance to the Championship hosted by Oklahoma State University.
