2022 NCAA Men's 10k Championship Results
Stillwater, OK - Princeton concluded the 2022 men's cross-country season with a 30th place finish at the NCAA Championships on Saturday morning in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
The Tigers, who won the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships this season, were led by Connor Nisbet who finished in 114th with a time of 30:2.2 over the 10K course.
Daniel O'Brien finished right behind Nisbet in 117th with a time of 30:21.4, to close out the Tigers inside the top-120.
The weather has been a constant challenge for the Tigers to overcome all season long, from last week's downpour in University Park to today's brisk conditions in Stillwater.
Another unfortunate opponent that goes hand in hand with the post-season is illness and injury.
First-Team, All-Ivy honoree, Anthony Monte, was unfortunately unable to finish today's race in Stillwater, and exited the race half-way through the 10k course.
Prior to the men's 10k championship race was the women's championship 6k. Senior Abby Loveys, who had qualified for the individual race at the Mid-Atlantic Regional, was unable to compete in Stillwater due to illness.
Despite being unable to compete, Loveys has so much to be proud of from the 2022 season including being a Second Team All-Ivy honoree following this year's Heps and being named an All-Region Honoree following the Mid-Atlantic Regionals. Similarly, the Princeton men also have much to be proud of as a team.
From being named 2022 Ivy League Heptagonal Champions, having multiple All-Ivy and All-Region honorees, and earning the opportunity to compete at the NCAA Championships, it has been an extremely successful season for the Tigers.
Princeton finished the championship race with a total of 712 points, four points behind the University of Michigan, and 40 points ahead of Georgetown.
No. 2 Northern Arizona won this year's national championship with a result of 83 total points.
Princeton's Final NCAA Championship Results
114. Connor Nisbet (30:21.2)
117. Daniel O'Brien (30:21.4)
183. Myles Hogan (30:53.0)
