2022-23 Season Begins for Men's Swimming & Diving With Two Victories

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's swimming & diving team got off to an impressive start in its 2022-23 season Saturday inside DeNunzio Pool, earning wins over both Brown and Dartmouth.

The quartet of Tyler Hong, Joshua Brown, Nicholas Lim and Brett Feyerick began the afternoon with a victory in the 200 medley relay, finishing in 1:29.38. John Ehling followed with a first-place finish in the 1,000 freestyle, touching the wall at 9:21.48, and Lim followed by triumphing in the 200 freestyle, finishing first in 1:38.65.
Hong won his first individual event of the day, the 100 backstroke, with a time of 49.10, while Raunak Khosla also finished first in the 100 breaststroke, finishing in 54.47. Swimming in his first meet college level, Mitch Schott won the 200 butterfly in 1:49.09.
Feyerick earned his second first-place finish of the day in the 50 freestyle, touching the wall at 20.56, and Joe Victor finished first in the 1-meter diving with a score of 312.85.
Adell Sabovic's time of 45.00 in the 100 freestyle saw him win the event, and Hong claimed his second event win of the afternoon in the 200 backstroke after finishing in 1:46.15. Khosla's second win came in the 200 breaststroke, where he finished with a time of 2:00.18.
Schott earned win number two of the day in the 500 freestyle, clocking in at 4:30.51, as did Hong in the 100 butterfly, where he finished in 48.92. George Callanan's score of 368.50 on the 3-meter board also saw him finish in first-place.
In the 400 IM, Hunter Kim's time of 3:55.19 was enough to earn the event victory, while the team of Lim, Schott, Brown and Max Walther ended the meet with a win in the 400 freestyle relay, finishing in 2:59.66.
