Women's Basketball Takes On Delaware Sunday At Jadwin

PRINCETON - The Princeton Women's Basketball Team hosts a home game for the first time since Nov. 16 on Sunday against the Delaware Blue Hens.

How Did We Get Here?
•Princeton is 5-3 this season after falling to No. 6 Connecticut Huskies at Gampel Pavilion on Thursday evening.

•Grace Stone registered a career-high 20 points and five three-pointers while Kaitlyn Chen dropped in 18 points and matched a personal best with seven assists in the loss.

•Trailing 58-43 with 7:14 to go in the game, Princeton ran off 10 straight in a two-minute stretch before UConn countered with two straight buckets forcing a timeout by the road squad. Down by double-digits, the Tigers did not go away, scoring eight consecutive points, getting within two twice. After a free throw by UConn, the Tigers had a chance to tie the contest, but the No. 6 team in the nation forced a turnover and sank two free throws to put the game away.

•Julia Cunningham and Chen powered Princeton over the final 10 minutes with a combined 18 points. The Tigers forced 14 turnovers in the session which led to 17 points.

• According to HerHoopsStats, UConn's 27 turnovers were only the third time its done that since 2009-10.

•Ellie Mitchell is fourth in the country in rebounds per game (13.1), defensive rebounds per contest (8.9), seventh in total rebounds (105) and 16th in offensive rebounds (4.2).

•Against Seton Hall, she became only the third person since 2009-10 to have at least 23 rebounds and six steals in a game (Javonna Layfield (Dayton), 12/31/17), Kylie Kuhns (Sacramento St., 12/1/10).

•Mitchell became the first player in the NCAA to record at least 12 rebounds and eight steals in a game this season at Maine.

•She is also only the 10th player since 2009-10 to have at least seven points, 12 rebounds, three assists and eight steals in a contest and the first since February of 2018.

•She has snagged at least 10 rebounds in 15 of her last 18 games dating back to last season.

•The junior is eighth in country in steals per game (3.62) and 19th in total steals (29). She's sits 31st in minutes per game (36.09).

•Kaitlyn Chen leads the team in scoring at 14.6 points per game and field goal percentage (44.7).

•After scoring 31 points in 20 games last year, Paige Morton has registered 46 this season.

•After starting the season by shooting 5-of-27 (18.5 percent), Madison St. Rose is 12 for her last 28 (42.8 percent). She has 31 points in her last four games after scoring 16 in the first four.

•Cunningham is currently 131 points shy of 1,000 for her career. At her 12.9 points/game pace, she'd reach that milestone on Jan. 21 at Dartmouth.

•Cunningham set a career high in free throws last year, going 60-of-68 (.882) in 30 games. She's already taken 37 shots from the charity stripe in eight contests this season.

•Stone has made at least one three in every game except for one and is shooting 44.4 percent from deep to pace the Tigers. That mark is 59th in the country.

•Chet Nweke is averaging 4.8 points per game which would double her scoring output from last season.

•After shooting 1-of-13 from deep vs. Temple, Princeton has made at least three treys in each game since.

•Berube's unit is also No. 40 in Simple RPI (59.3) which treats all games equally (25% Team Win %, 50% Average Opponent Win %, 50% Average Opponent's Average Opponent Win %).
