Yelensky Named CWPA Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Kayla Yelensky was named Collegiate Water Polo Association's (CWPA) Rookie of the Week, the organization announced today.
Yelensky produced 14 goals, six assists, nine steals and six drawn ejections in the Tigers' 5-0 weekend at the Princeton Invitational. On Friday, she threw four in the back of the net vs. No. 17 LIU before a hat trick, two assists and three steals vs. St. Francis-Brooklyn. Saturday, Yelensky had a four-point outing vs. VMI and three more points vs. No. 24 Bucknell. She finished up the Invite with a hat trick vs. Saint Francis.
The Tigers are now 9-2 overall and on a seven-game winning streak. Princeton has three wins over top-25 squads and has scored at least nine goals in every game. Ellingson's group will head on the road in two weeks for CWPA action.
