Men's Track & Field Shatter Ivy DMR Record at Alex Wilson Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The No. 17 Princeton University men's track & field team had an outstanding day at the Alex Wilson Invitational Saturday, shattering the Ivy League and school records in the Distance Medley Relay.

The team of Ethan Reese, Michael Phillippy, Sam Rodman, and Sam Ellis finished with a time of 9:23.20, which currently stands as the seventh-fastest time in the nation and qualified the team for the NCAA National Indoor Championships. It bested the previous Ivy and school record of 9:27.74, set in 2013 by Michael Williams '14, Russel Dinkins '13, Austin Hollimon '13, and Peter Callahan '13, a quartet who won the national championship in the event that season.

Each Tiger produced a tremendous split; Reese clocked in at 2:52 (1,200 meters), Phillippy, at 0.46 (400 meters), Rodman at 1:48 (800 meters), and Ellis at 3:55 (1,600 meters).
