McQuigge Named Semifinalist for National Goalie of the Year Honor

Princeton senior Rachel McQuigge has been named to a semifinalist list of 12 netminders across the nation for the Women's Hockey Commissioners Association's Goalie of the Year Award.

McQuigge has a career-best .938 save percentage this season and a 1.85 GAA while closing in on 1,500 minutes played, a number McQuigge is likely to pass this weekend at Harvard. The .938 save percentage would be the second-best in program history by a regular starter, behind only former teammate Stephanie Neatby '20 from the 2016-17 season, when Neatby saved 95 percent of shots on goal. The 1.85 GAA would be sixth-best in program history.

McQuigge and the Tigers will head to Harvard this weekend for the ECAC Hockey quarterfinal best-of-three series. Three finalists for the award will be announced next weekend, and the winner will be announced at the Frozen Four at Penn State two weekends later.
