Men’s Track and Field Sets Two Program Records at the Dr. Sander Invitational

NEW YORK – The Princeton University men's track and field team dominated the competition once again, Friday afternoon at the Armory.
The Tigers set two school records, both marks qualifying as Ivy League records as well. Christian Brown ran a scorching 7.76 in the 60-meter hurdles, moving ahead of Joey Daniels (7.77) for the top spot in school history. In the pole vault, Sondre Guttormsen launched 5.75 meters, breaking his own record of 5.74 meters set in 2021.
Elsewhere, Christopher Licata set a new PR in the shotput. The toss went a total distance of 19.31 meters, easily winning first place. In the triple jump, Adedayo Abeeb took second with a leap of 15.16 meters. Finally, Sondre's brother Simen Guttormsen secured third place in the pole vault with a distance of 5.45 meters.
Next up: The Tigers will compete in day two of the Dr. Sander Invitational, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
