Women's Basketball Rolls To Big Win Over Cornell, 75-37

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers' defense shined again as they easily disposed the Cornell Big Red, 75-37, at Jadwin Gym on Friday evening.

Grace Stone led the Tigers with 14 points, adding seven rebounds and five assists. Abby Meyers (12) and Julia Cunningham (11) also scored in double figures in the win.

The Tigers scored 13 of the first 16 points and led 18-5 after the first quarter. Princeton held Cornell scoreless for over eight minutes in the first half, going in front, 25-5. Head coach Carla Berube's squad took a 35-14 advantage at halftime.

The home team led by 20 the entire second half in the decisive victory.

Princeton scored 34 points off 22 Cornell turnovers. The Tigers had 17 assists on 25 made baskets and had 14 steals.

Berube's unit improves to 15-4 overall and 7-0 in the Ivy League while Cornell drops to 7-11 this season and 2-5 in the conference.

Columbia and Princeton, both undefeated in Ivy action, battle tomorrow at Jadwin. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
