Women’s Water Polo Handles Cal State East Bay 10-6

LOS ANGELES – Aided by a Kayla Yelensky hattrick, the No. 19 Princeton University women's water polo team closed out the LMU Invitational with a 10-6 victory over Cal State East Bay.
The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, with goals from Yelensky and Jovana Sekulic. The Pioneers would add one on their end to make it 2-1 Princeton at the end of one quarter of play. The orange and black would score three unanswered goals in the second quarter, a Kaila Carroll score giving the Tigers a 5-1 halftime advantage.
Cal State East Bay would open up the second half by scoring two goals, making the score 5-3. Yelensky would score her second to push Princeton's lead to three, which the Tigers carried into the fourth quarter thanks to a third Yelensky goal later in the period. Like in the second quarter, the Tigers would score three straight goals and basically have the game wrapped up. A couple garbage time goals were scored by the Pioneers, making the final score 10-6 in favor of the Tigers.
