CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 39 Princeton University men's tennis team fell 5-2 to the No. 13 Harvard Crimson, Saturday afternoon at the Beren Tennis Center.
In doubles, Ryan Seggerman and Justin Barki challenged the No. 24 ranked doubles tandem of Daniel Milavsky and Brian Shi, trailing 5-4 before the match was abandoned.
In singles, Karl Poling overcame No. 70 Brian Shi 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot while Will Peters dropped Daniel Milavsky 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 5 spot.
"We had our chances today against a very good team but didn't quite capitalize," said Head Coach Billy Pate. "Credit to Harvard for playing well and defending their home courts. However, I know our guys are disappointed in leaving some opportunities out there. Nonetheless, we will rebound quickly and be ready to improve tomorrow at Dartmouth."
