April 17, 2022 | Men's Tennis
Hanover, N.H. – The No. 39 Princeton University men's tennis team took down Dartmouth by a score of 5-2, Sunday afternoon at the Boss Tennis Center.
The Tigers clinched the doubles point, as Justin Barki and Ryan Seggerman cruised to a 6-1 victory over Anders Gibbons and Dominik Pauli in the No. 1 spot, while Damian Rodriguez and Karl Poling dropped Logan Chang and Daniel Webb 6-1 in the No. 3 spot.
In singles, Ryan Seggerman defeated Anders Gibbons 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1, as Justin Barki got by Carlos Guerrero Alvarez 6-0, 7-6 at No. 2. Playing in the No. 5 spot, Will Peters downed Pierce Widdecombe 6-3, 6-4 while Bill Duo dispatched Daniel Webb 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 6 spot.
"The guys rebounded well after a tough loss yesterday," said Head Coach Billy Pate. "We were able to secure the doubles point and jump to leads on most of the courts. Dartmouth did a good job of fighting and hanging around - it's always more challenging on the road to finish. We'll look forward to a good week of practice and an important weekend coming up as we finish the regular season."
