Men's Lightweight Rowing Battles For Wood-Hammond Cup This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's lightweight rowing squad takes on two top-10 teams in the No. 8 Penn Quakers and No. 5 Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday at Lake Carnegie.
Princeton and Penn battle for the Wood-Hammond Cup, something Princeton has won 14 straight times. In fact, the Tigers have lost just once to Penn since 1979.
Head coach Marty Crotty's unit has collected six wins this season including the Fosburgh and Campbell Cups. Princeton and Georgetown have already faced off this season with the Crotty's team earning a .4-second win.
Penn comes into the weekend with a third-place finish vs. Yale and Columbia last weekend.
