Men's Lightweight Rowing Drops Close Contest To No. 5 Georgetown and No. 8 Penn

PRINCETON, N.J. -The Princeton men's lightweight rowing team secured two second place finishes at Lake Carnegie on Saturday afternoon.
Georgetown's V8 earned a close decision (5:47.5) over Penn (5:49.5) and Princeton (5:51.0). With its second-place finish, Penn earned the Wood-Hammond Cup.
The Quakers collected the top time in the 2V (5:56.1) over Princeton (5:59.8) and Georgetown to open the racing on Lake Carnegie.
Georgetown's 3V8 picked up the victory (5:56.6) over Princeton (6:01.3) and Penn (6:17.6).
Head coach Marty Crotty's group has Harvard and Yale come to Lake Carnegie next Saturday (Apr. 30) for the Goldhwait/Vogel Cups.
