Men's Lightweight Rowing Welcomes No. 1 Yale and No. 9 Harvard Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J. – It's back-to-back home weekends for the Princeton men's lightweight rowing team against two top-ten foes.
The Tigers take on the No. 1 Yale Bulldogs and No. 9 Harvard Crimson on Saturday at Lake Carnegie.
A rivalry going back to 1922, Harvard leads the all-time series against Princeton and Yale, 45-29-20. The Tigers have won the last two V8 gatherings in 2018 and 2019 and four of the last six races.
The Goldthwait Cup will be awarded to the winner of the varsity eight race while the Vogel Cup will be given to the team who puts on the best performance in all the events during the regatta.
Head coach Marty Crotty's team has collected six wins this season including the Fosburgh and Campbell Cups. Yale has not lost this spring with decisions over Navy, Georgetown, Penn, Columbia and Dartmouth. Harvard was taken down MIT and Delaware.
