Women's Open Rowing Falls In Close Battle With No. 1 Texas

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton women's open rowing squad battled No. 1 Texas, but ultimately fell to the defending national champion by four seconds on Lake Carnegie.
Texas' 1V8 crossed the finish line at 6:18.6, ahead of Princeton (6:22.6) and Rutgers (6:39.6). The Longhorns also earned the victory in 2V8 (6:32.0), V4 (7:16.9) and 2V4 (7:21.5).
Princeton's 3V8 secured the best time at 7:01.7 over several Rutgers' boats.
The Scarlet Knights' 3V4 earned the win at 7:37.3.
Princeton welcomes Syracuse, Tennessee and Penn to Lake Carnegie next Saturday (Apr. 30).
