PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Women's Open Rowing team is back home at Lake Carnegie to take on the No. 8 Penn Quakers and the No. 19 Tennessee Volunteers.
"We are excited to race this weekend with Penn and Tennessee," said Princeton head coach Lori Dauphiny. "It will also be the seniors' last home race! They are an amazing class that has overcome so much. Their journey has been interrupted by the pandemic, but they never let it stop them. They have continued to grow and support this team. They have taught us so much and have led this team through some of our greatest challenges. We would like to honor them on our last home race of the season."
Princeton comes into the weekend with three victories over the top seven teams in the country in No. 7 Brown, No. 6 Ohio State and No. 3 Yale. The Tigers have secured the Class of 1987 Trophy and Class of 1975 and Eisenberg Cups. Last week, Dauphiny's crew lost a close contest to No. 1 Texas.
The Quakers come into this weekend with victories over Doc Hosea and Lake Wheeler Invitationals this spring. Tennessee's V8 boat has gone 7-2 this season and has won four Big-12 Boat of the Week honors.
