Heavies Take On No. 7 Brown For Content Cup This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 9 Princeton heavyweight rowing squad welcomes the No. 7 Brown Bears to Lake Carnegie for the Content Cup on Saturday.

"We've been road warriors for the past month with four straight weekends racing away," said Princeton head coach Greg Hughes. "This will be our second home race of the season and we are pumped to get the chance to line up here on Carnegie."

Last week, the Yale 1V crossed the finish line at 5:25.3 in front of Princeton (5:32.19) and Cornell (5:34.17), however the Bulldogs cut to the inside of a turn buoy and were disqualified.

Princeton has secured victories over Georgetown, Drexel, Temple and Navy this year.

First started in 1994, Princeton and Brown have each won the Content Cup 13 times. The Tigers took the last meeting in 2019 and has four of the last five meetings with the Bears.

Brown has won races vs. Navy, Boston U. and Northeastern in 2022.
