Ivy Slate to Resume This Weekend with Visit from Cornell

In what will be the middle series in the seven-weekend Ivy League season, the Princeton softball team will host Cornell on Saturday and Sunday at Princeton Softball Stadium at Strubing Field.

The Ivy League standings have Princeton and Harvard entering the weekend tied at the top at 6-3, with Princeton having won the head-to-head series earlier this season. Penn stands a game back at 5-4, with Dartmouth a game and a half back at 3-3.
Princeton's .266 batting average leads the Ivy League with Adrienne Chang (.356), Sophia Marsalo (.312) and Serena Starks (.310) all hitting above .300. Alexis Laudenslager (5-7 W-L, 3.07 ERA) and Ali Blanchard (4-3, 3.29) have thrown 115 of the team's 166 innings in the circle.
The Big Red stand 8-13 on the season overall and 2-4 in the Ivy, coming off a midweek sweep of Maryland Eastern Shore on Tuesday. Emily McKinney (.339) leads the team (.231) at the plate, and Mia Burd (4-4, 4.11) has thrown a team-high 63 of the team's 140 innings.
Following the weekend, Princeton will head to Lehigh for a Wednesday doubleheader before returning to league play at Yale next weekend.
