Princeton Leads as Ivy League Playoff Series Halted, Moved to Sunday

It was one good inning for the Princeton softball team on Saturday, but it was only one inning in the third game of the Ivy League Playoff Series at Princeton Softball Stadium at Strubing Field.
Princeton will take a 3-0 lead into the top of the second inning in Sunday's 10 a.m. resumption of the third and decisive game of the series, with the winner getting the Ivy's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Admission is free.
Selections will be announced Sunday at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
The top of the first saw Alexis Laudenslager set down the Crimson in order with the help of a strikeout and a double play around a Lauren Bobowski base hit. In the bottom half of the inning, Lauren Sablone led off with a double and an error allowed Serena Starks to reach on an intended sacrifice. After an Allison Ha walk, Ali Blanchard doubled home two and a Grace Jackson groundout brought home another.
