Princeton Heavies Collect Bronze Medal At Easterns; Each Boat Qualifies For Grand Final

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Princeton men's heavyweight team collected a bronze medal at the Eastern Sprints on Sunday afternoon.
The 4+ boat of Chloe Smith-Frank (coxswain), Kasey McFadden, Patrick O'Connell, John Dreiband and Raphael Vogeley took the bronze, securing a time of 7:11.87, behind Northeastern and Cornell.
Princeton's 1V (5:52.93) was just shy of Yale (5:50.25) in its heat before missing out on a medal by just six-tenths of a second (6:02.95).
4V8 took third place (6:13.53) in its heat and earned a fifth-place finish in the Grand Final (6:10.05).
2V8 collected a second-place tally in its time trial (6:02.80) while crossing the finish line fifth overall (6:01.90).
The Tigers' 3V was second in its heat (6:05.35) before a fifth-place tally (6:02.10) in its final event.
Each Princeton boat made its respective Grand Final. The Tigers have collected at least one medal in 11 straight sprints.
Princeton will take part in the IRA Championships June 3-5 in West Windsor.
