Olivia Schewe & Cameron Dames Named 2022 Women’s Volleyball Captains

PRINCETON, N.J. – Olivia Schewe and Cameron Dames have been named captains of the Princeton University women's volleyball team for the 2022 season, as announced by Head Coach Sabrina King.

Schewe appeared in 19 matches in 2021, averaging 2.16 kills per set, along with 0.60 blocks per set. Against Colgate University on Friday, September 10, she had a career-high 16 kills, and against Loyola University Maryland on Friday, September 3, she recorded a career-best seven blocks.

Dames, the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, was an All-Ivy League Second Team honoree in 2019 and was an All-Ivy League Honorable Mention selection in 2021. She earned her 1,000^th career dig in the 2021 season, and led the Tigers and finished second in the Ivy league with 4.73 digs per set.

In 2021, the Tigers had a 16-6 record, along with a 10-4 record in Ivy League play. Princeton closed the season out on a three-match winning streak, and did not lose a set during the three victories.
