Kate Joyce Advances to the NCAA Outdoor Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Tigers had a successful first day at the NCAA East Regional, as Kate Joyce qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Meanwhile, Caroline Timm advanced to the quarterfinals in the 1,500 meters on Saturday.
Kate Joyce qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the javelin, placing eighth with a heave of 50.86 meters
In the 1,500 meters, Caroline Timm (4:14.36) finished third in her heat and fourth overall. Timm's mark is a personal best and ranks second all-time in school history. To advance to Eugene, Timm must finish in the top-12.
In the 800 meters, Maggie Hock (2:06.76) was 30th.
In the field events, Annika Kelly (58.88 m) finished 27th in the hammer throw, Siniru Iheoma (14.84 m) took 35th in the shot put, and Rylie Pease (41.82 m) was 43rd in the javelin.
