Liu Leads Tigers Through First Round at NCAA Regional

Through 18 holes at the NCAA regional at Stanford, Princeton rookie and reigning Ivy League medalist Victoria Liu stands just two strokes off the line to advance to the NCAA Championships.

The top four teams and top two players not on those teams will advance to the NCAA's final site, and after the first of three rounds, LSU (-5), USC (-4), Stanford (-1) and Purdue (+1) are in those spots. Princeton is tied for seventh at +11.

The top two golfers not on those teams in the top four spots are Iowa State's Ruby Chou, who is at -3 and one stroke behind LSU's Latanna Stone for the lead, and Northwestern's Kelly Sim, tied for eighth at -1. Liu is two stroke back of Sim at +1.

Play will begin for Tuesday's second round at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET, with the final round set for Wednesday. Live scoring is available here.
