USTFCCCA RELEASE
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2021-22 program of the year standings, and the Princeton University men's track and field team was ranked No. 5.
The Tigers had 35.5 points, and were just one point behind the University of Arkansas who took the No. 4 ranking and had 34.5 points. According to the USTFCCCA:
In order to be eligible for the award, teams must qualify for each of the NCAA Championships. Scoring is based on the team's finish at each NCAA Championship in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field (i.e. 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points … 31st = 31 points) with the lowest total score for all three championships combined determining the award winner. Ties among schools split points for positions taken
Princeton's tied-fifth-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships and garnered 5.5 points, its seventh-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships seven points, and its 23rd-place finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships 23.
