Devin Cannady ’20 to Play Summer League for Orlando Magic

ORLANDO, Fla. – Princeton University men's basketball team alumni Devin Cannady '20 has earned a spot on the Orlando Magic's roster for the NBA 2K23 Summer League 2022, as announced by the organization Wednesday.
The 17th NBA 2K23 Summer League will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. All 75 games will be broadcast live on television on ESPN networks or NBA TV, along with on ESPN+ and the ESPN App.
All 30 NBA teams will play five games each in the 17th NBA 2K23 Summer League. After all teams have played four games, the two teams with the best records from the first four games will play in a Championship Game at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN on Sunday, July 17. The remaining 28 teams will play a fifth games on Friday, July 16, or Sunday, July 17.
Cannady played for Orlando in both the 2021-22 and 2020-21 seasons. He appeared in five games in 2021-22, averaging 10.0 points and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 40.5% shooting from three. He closed the season out with three-straight double-digit scoring games, finishing with a season-high 15 points and four made three-pointers against the Miami Heat on Sunday April 10.
Along with being the 2021 NBA G League Finals MVP with the Lakeland Magic, Cannady was two-time All-Ivy League honoree at Princeton, Cannady averaged 14.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.09 steals per game during his time as a Tiger. He helped Princeton win the 2017 Ivy League Regular Season and Tournament Championships, earning a trip to the NCAA Tournament. He shot 268-for-665 (40.3%) from three, and a program record 285-318 (89,6%) from the free throw line at Princeton.
