Princeton Heavies Wrap Up Action At IRA Championships

WEST WINDSOR – The Princeton men's heavyweight team wrapped up the final day of the IRA Championships at Mercer Lake.
The Tigers' 2V8 crossed the finish line sixth in its Grand Final (6:04.75), marking the 12th consecutive top-10 placement for the boat.
3V8 held second through its Petite Final but couldn't catch Boston University to finish eighth overall (6:14.41). The 3V has placed inside the top 10 every year its raced.
Coach Greg Hughes' varsity eight picked up a third-place spot in its Petite Final (5:59.43) to finish ninth overall.
It was a stellar IRAs for the Princeton heavyweight rowing team as its varsity four captured gold. It was the first gold medal for Princeton at IRAs since the third varsity in 2016.
