Princeton Football Has Five Named To BlueBloods Preseason All-Ivy Team

PRINCETON – The Princeton Tigers had five players named to the BlueBloods Preseason All-Ivy team, the website announced.

Andrei Iosivas, Carson Bobo, Henry Byrd, Uche Ndukwe and Will Powers were all named to the squad.

Iosivas was second team All-Ivy after leading the squad with five touchdowns in 2021. He was second on the unit with 41 catches, 703 yards receiving and 17.1 yards per catch. He was third among Ivy foes in yards, fourth in touchdowns, yards per reception and ninth in receptions. The senior also was a First-Team All-American in the heptathlon at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Bobo caught 17 passes for 147 yards, adding two touchdowns for the 2021 Ivy Champions. He was also an excellent blocker for the offense that was among the best in the Ivy League.

Byrd was on the offensive line that helped anchor a high-powered attack that ranked first in the conference in scoring (33.4), second in passing offense (265.5), second in passing efficiency (147.0) and third in total offense (392.4).

Ndukwe was second team All-Ivy after posting 17 tackles, 9.5 for loss and six sacks in six games last year before an injury. Despite missing four games, Ndukwe was seventh in the Ivies in sacks and ninth in tackles for loss.

Powers was outstanding for Princeton as he led the conference in net average (43.8). One third of his punts were over 50 yards with nine going inside the 20-yard line.
