Princeton Rowing To Be Well Represented At U19/U23 World Rowing Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Shea Rowing Center will be well represented at the 2022 World Rowing U-19 and U-23 Championships next week (July 25-30) in Varese, Italy.

Princeton will have 25 representatives across all four rowing teams at the event. A total of 36 boat classes will be contested – 14 for the Under 19 and 22 for the Under 23. The home nation, Italy, has entered a full contingent, with France and Germany also coming with a large number. Entries also include a wide representation from across the globe with entries from Paraguay, Brazil, Singapore, Thailand and Vanuatu.

In 2021, Princeton collected a gold medal (Aaron Wenk), two silvers (Sydney Edwards, Cecilia Sommerfeld) and four bronze medals at the U-23 Championships (Tassilo von Mueller, Floyd Benedikter, Erik Spinka, Bonnie Pushner).
