Skye Ettin & Blake Peters Help USA Win Open Male Basketball Gold at Maccabiah Games

JERUSALEM, Israel – Assistant Coach Skye Ettin and Blake Peters of the Princeton University men's basketball team helped the USA win gold at the 2022 Maccabiah Games Sunday, as the USA downed France in the final, 81-70.

Despite trailing 37-35 at halftime, the USA rallied in the second half and emerged as Champions. Peters chipped in 10 points, three rebounds, and two steals in the gold medal-winning effort.
Peters had a strong tournament overall, scoring 11 points and recording three rebounds long with two steals in the team's first game, a 93-49 victory over Argentina on Friday, July 15. In USA's 90-77 win over France on Sunday, July 17, he knocked down five three-pointers on route to 18 points, six rebounds, and two steals, then in a 92-71 triumph over Israel on Tuesday, July 19, Peters scored a game-high 24 points, sank seven three-pointers, grabbed four rebounds, and had two steals. In USA's final Stage One contest, a 106-70 victory over Canada, Peters added 10 points, five rebounds and three steals on Friday, July 21.

Ettin and Peters also became champions for the second time in 2022, as the Tigers claimed the Ivy League title outright, after going 12-2 in conference play and 23-7 overall in 2021-22.
