Women's Ice Hockey Garners 21 ECAC All-Academic Team Selections
July 05, 2022 | Women's Ice Hockey
Princeton's women's ice hockey team was represented by 21 student-athletes on the ECAC All-Academic Team as announced today.
Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, or have a GPA of 3.00 or more the past three semesters. One student-athlete from each institution is honored on the Commissioner's List, showcasing each program's top scholar from the 2021-22 season.
Princeton's representative on the Commissioner's List for the 2021-22 season was senior Sharon Frankel.
"Congrats to each member of our team who earned this honor," said head coach Cara Morey. "Everyone responded in amazing fashion to the challenges of the season and adjusted to the many scheduling changes while staying true to task in terms of excelling on the ice and in the classroom. To see the team put together such an impressive year academically while making ECAC history along the way with the first-ever win for an 8-seed is remarkable. I am proud to coach this group and can't wait for the 2022-23 season."
