ECAC All-Academic ... scored her first career goal March 7 in the ECAC semifinal against Clarkson ... had five assists on the season, at Union on Nov. 15, against St. Lawrence on Nov. 23, against Ohio State on Dec. 15, against Rensselaer on Feb. 7, and against Yale on Feb. 22 ... played in 32 games ... blocked 17 shots, finished at +11 on the season ... took 41 shots on goal ... team qualified for the NCAA Championships, but the event was canceled by the NCAA due to the COVID-19 virus.
Before Princeton: A member of the USA U18 national team that won a silver medal at the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship in Japan, Monihan has been a part of the organization dating back to 2016. She attended multiple USA Hockey Player Development Camps including the USA Hockey Elite 70 Camp in 2018. Monihan played four years of club hockey with the New Jersey Colonials, a squad that qualified for USA Hockey Nationals all four years. New Jersey also won three Mid Atlantic Women's Hockey Association (MAWHA) championships in 2016, 2017 and 2019. With the Colonials, Monihan earned both the George Charette Award in 2019 and the Donna Guariglia Award in 2018 while also being named to Team Comcast in 2015. Monihan was captain of the Lawrenceville School hockey team, while capturing USA Today All-Girls third-team honors and the team's Mollie Marcoux Award.
Personal: Parents are Brian and Maureen Monihan ... father is the President and GM of NBC Sports Philadelphia ... has a sister, Tara, and two brothers, Andrew and Aaron.
