Tordin's Goal Helps Lift Tigers in Pre-Ivy Finale

An end-line sequence of passes from Lily Bryant to Jen Estes and finally to Pietra Tordin for the finish resulted in the only goal of the night as the Princeton women's soccer team was a 1-0 winner over Delaware Sunday night on Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.
The goal, which came with less than two minutes to go in the first half, helped deliver a win for Princeton in its final game before Ivy League play begins next Saturday at Yale, and it also lifted Tordin into a tie with Heather MacNab for the team lead in goals on the season, with four.
Princeton outshot Delaware 27-7 overall and 10-2 on goal. Ella Gantman played the first half in goal and Tyler McCamey played the second as each made a save to combine for the shutout.
