Men's Cross Country Heads To HYP Saturday

The defending Heptagonal champions open the 2022 men's cross country season on Saturday as Princeton heads to Franklin Park for the annual HYP meet with Harvard and Yale. The three teams will set off on the 6K course at 11 a.m.
The Tigers were second at HYP last year on home turf at West Windsor, but answered when it mattered most with a 15-point win over Harvard at Heps at the same track. Princeton would go on to win the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet as well to qualify for another NCAA Championships where the Tigers finished 23rd overall.
Anthony Monte and Matthew Farrell are Princeton's top two returners from that team, and are joined by Sam Rodman who was a first-team All-American in the 800 (outdoor) and DMR (indoor) last year.
"We're excited to get 2022 underway," said head coach Jason Vigilante. "We are going to travel the country this fall making preparations to be at our best at Heps and into the NCAA Championship season. The process starts this weekend with HYP, and we're looking forward to the grind of improving each time we are together as a team and competing."
