Men's Soccer Falls to Seton Hall 3-1

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Princeton men's soccer team (4-5-1) fell to Seton Hall this evening at Owen T. Carroll Field. Daniel Ittycheria was the only goal scorer for the Tigers. The match ended 3-1.
How It Happened
- Nico Nee started the Tigers off quick with a shot in the 7th minute that missed high.
- Seton Hall struck first in the match with an early goal in the 8th minute scored by Sam Bjork. Pirates led 1-0.
- Near miss! Tigers almost had a quick response when Daniel Ittycheria's cross into Walker Gillespie's header missed the net left in the 9th minute.
- TIGER GOAL. Seton Hall fouled Daniel Ittycheria in the penalty box in the 15th. Ittycheria took the penalty kick for the Tigers and his precision and composure in that critical moment earned him the equalizing goal. The sophomore's 8th goal of the season made the score 1-1.
- Seton Hall took the lead again in the 21st minute with an Andrea Borg goal.
- CARD. Whit Gamblin was given a yellow card in the 28th minute.
- Kevin Kelley found a right footed shot in the 41st minute, but missed over the crossbar high and right.
- Ian Nunez nearly got the Tigers an equalizer with about 2 minutes left in the half, but missed left.
- The Tigers took 6 shots in the half with 2 of them on goal.
- The score at halftime was 2-1 in favor of the Pirates.
- Nico Nee gave the Tigers a chance to tie the match in the 59th minute, but his shot on goal was stopped by Matias Molina, the Pirate's goalkeeper.
- CARD. Stephen Duncan was given a yellow card in the 60th minute.
- CARD. Issa Mudashiru was given a yellow card in the 76th minute.
- KEEPER KHAMARI. Hadaway made a crucial 1v1 save in the 78th minute to stop the Seton Hall attempt of another goal.
- Seton Hall had another 1v1 opportunity against the Tigers, but this time Hadaway was unable to make the save. The Pirates extended the lead to 3-1.
- CARD. Seton Hall's Axel Berglund was given a yellow card in the 85th minute
- CARD. Seton Hall's Ralph Pascarella was given a yellow card in the 89th minute
- Ryan Winkler had the last shot attempt on goal in the second half but was unable to connect.
- The Tigers took 5 shots in the second half with 2 of them on goal
- The match ended with a final score of 3-1 in favor of Seton Hall
