Men's Soccer Heads to Cornell Saturday to Begin Ivy Stretch

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Princeton men's soccer team will face Cornell on the road Saturday afternoon at Berman Field. Game day is set for October 14th at 4 p.m. and the match will air on ESPN+.

Princeton is 4-5-1 overall and 1-1-1 in Ivy League Conference play following the loss to Seton Hall on Tuesday.
Daniel Ittycheria is tied for 13th in the country in goals per game. The sophomore leads the team with 8 goals this season and one assist, he also leads the team in points scored (17) ... scored braces matches against Columbia (10/7) and against St. John's (9/19) ... scored the solo goal against Seton Hall (10/10)
Khamari Hadaway averages 4.56 saves per game which ranks him 19th in the country. The junior has a total of 41 saves on the 2023 season through 8 games and a 70.7% save percentage ... 6 saves in the win against Rutgers (9/1), 10 saves against No. 3 Duke (9/4), 3 saves against No. 21 New Hampshire (9/15), 3 saves against St. John's (9/19), 3 saves against Dartmouth (9/23), 2 saves against Yale (9/30), 5 saves against No. 8 Georgetown (10/3), 2 saves against Columbia (10/7), 6 saves against Seton Hall (10/10). In 2022 he only recorded 18 saves in the 7 games he played.
The offense has been heating up. The Tigers have now had two games this season with four goals. Four different goal scorers in their 4-1 win over Monmouth (9/26) - Walker Gillespie, Will Francis, Nico Nee, Daniel Ittycheria... three different goal scorers in their 4-0 win over Columbia (10/7) - Daniel Ittycheria, Will Francis, Ian Nunez
The sophomore Will Francis scored goals in back-to-back games with a goal against against Monmouth and with a crucial, game-tying goal against Yale. He also scored again over the weekend against Columbia. Will is third on the team in points scored this season with 6.
The freshman Ian Nunez scored the game winning goal against St. John's (9/19), tallying his first collegiate goal, and scored a goal against Columbia over the weekend.. He has been the only freshman to score a a goal thus far, has seen 256 minutes of playing time, and owns a 63.6% shot on goal percentage.
Nico Nee is tied for 77th in the nation, 1st on the team in assists per game with 5 assists through 10 games ... he is second on the team in points scored this season with 9. Nee is 2-2 on the season in penalty kicks.
Sophomore Stephen Duncan scored the first goal of his collegiate career against No. 21 New Hampshire (9/15).
Jack Jasinski leads the team in minutes played ... 824 minutes through 9 games. Jasinski stated an assist against Columbia.
The team holds a 0.476 shots on goal percentage ... ranked 35th in shot accuracy.
Princeton is ranked No. 48 in the NCAA Men's Soccer RPI metrics.
The Tiger's schedule has consisted of ten games thus far, three of them against Top-25 teams. The match against Georgetown was the third ranked opponent of the 2023 season.
Princeton went 6-6-4 (.500) overall in the 2022 season and went 2-4-1 at home.
