Ivy League Weekly Awards Swept by Women’s Volleyball

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's volleyball team swept the final round of Ivy League weekly awards for the 2023 season Monday, with senior Maya Satchell honored as Player of the Week and freshman Sydney Draper Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.
The duo led Princeton to a weekend sweep inside Dillon Gymnasium, first defeating Dartmouth on Nov. 10, 3-1 (25-16, 25-21, 23-25, 25-22) then Harvard, 3-1 (25-22, 16-25, 25-22, 26-24) on Nov. 11.
Satchell averaged 4.13 kills per set on a .346 hitting percentage, and accumulated 33 kills, 13 digs, two service aces along with one block over the course of the Tigers' two matches. Against Dartmouth Satchell recorded 14 kills on a .343 hitting percentage, nine digs and one service ace. The next night against the Crimson she had a career-high 19 kills on a .349 hitting percentage along with four digs.
Draper averaged 12.0 assists per set and tallied 96 assists and 21 digs in Princeton's two victories. She recorded 52 assists and 13 digs against Dartmouth then followed with 44 assists and eight digs against Harvard. Additionally, Draper was also named Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Sept. 4 and Sept. 25.
