No. 7 Men's Water Polo Preps For Final Regular Season Weekend

PRINCETON – The No. 7 Princeton Men's Water Polo Team finishes the regular season this weekend at DeNunzio Pool.
Princeton will take on the LIU Sharks (12 p.m.) and Iona Gaels (5 p.m.) on Saturday. With two wins, the Tigers will clinch the No. 1 seed in the Northeast Water Polo Conference Tournament. The No. 1 seed gets a bye into the semifinals.
The Tigers are 23-5 overall and 7-1 in the NWPC after earning two victories last weekend at MIT and Brown. Princeton dropped a 14-13 double overtime decision to No. 11 Harvard which was the team's first conference loss in 22 contests (including postseason). 12 of the Tigers' victories this season have come against ranked foes. Head coach Dustin Litvak's group has defeated LIU twice (14-6, 16-8) and Iona (16-9).
Roko Pozaric paces the Tigers with 61 goals and 103 points while adding 36 steals, 26 drawn ejections and a 93-7 sprint record. Pozaric is nine goals shy of 200 for his career and is one of only four players in program history with at least 150 goals and 100 career assists. His 42 helpers this season are a career high.
Vladan Mitrovic (46) and George Caras (46) are second on the team in tallies, both of which are career bests. JP Ohl (30), Yurian Quinones (29), Finn LeSieur (26), Pierce Maloney (25), Mason Killion (23), Logan McCarroll (19), William Swart (17), Gavin Molloy (12) and Luke Johnston (11) all have at least 10+ goals for Princeton. Ohl's 59 assists are the second-most ever by a Tiger.
Kristóf Kovács and West Temkin have combined for a .570 save percentage, adding 310 saves. Temkin posted 12 saves in the the overtime loss to Harvard while also adding 13 stops at MIT.
