Lucia Scalamandre Named AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its regional awards Tuesday morning and sophomore Lucia Scalamandre was named Northeast All-Region Honorable Mention.
Scalamandre had an impressive sophomore campaign in 2023, as her hitting percentage of .408 led the Ivy League. Scalamandre also ranked third in the Ivy League in blocks (0.86), fourth in points (303.5), sixth in points-per-set (3.45) and ninth in blocks-per-set (0.86). She also ranked second on the team in kills-per-set (2.63) and service aces (22).
Scalamandre adds to an impressive resume that includes 2023 and 2022 First Team All-Ivy League honor along with the 2022 Ivy League and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rookie of the Year awards.
