Men's Tennis Drops ECAC Opener to Cornell, 4-3

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's tennis team fell just short, 4-3, to Cornell Friday afternoon at the Boss Tennis Center, in the Tigers' first match at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.
"As expected it to be it was a tight battle against Cornell," said Head Coach Billy Pate. "Once again, we competed hard but didn't convert opportunities to get over the hump. Though it's frustrating, our guys are eager to get back to work tomorrow against Brown."
Princeton prevailed in three singles matches, with Thomas Bosancic outlasting Peat Teodorovic at No. 3, 4-6, 6-3, 5-4, and Ellis Short earning a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Nathan Mao at No. 4. At the No. 6 position, Matthew Bosancic took down Aman Sharma, 6-3, 7-5.
