Men's Tennis Downs Brown at ECAC Championships, 4-0
February 18, 2023 | Men's Tennis
HANOVER, N.H. – Playing in its second match at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships Saturday morning at the Boss Tennis Center, the Princeton University men's tennis team earned a 4-0 victory over Brown.
"I'm pleased with how we bounced back after a tough 4-3 loss yesterday," said Head Coach Billy Pate. "We did a better job in doubles and then set a positive tone by taking leads in each of the singles. It was a solid performance and we'll need to build on that for tomorrow against the winner of Yale or Dartmouth."
The Tigers won the doubles point, with Fnu Nidunjianzan and Will Peters taking down Alex Finkelstein and Noah Hernandez, 6-2, at No. 1 and Thomas Bosancic and Matthew Bosancic taking down Nraj Komatineni and Oliver Worth at No. 2, 6-4.
Nidinjianzan earned his second win of the morning in singles, defeating Finkelstein 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1. At the No. 2 position, Will Peters overcame Hernandez 6-1, 6-2 and at No. 5, Ellis Short upended Oliver Worth, 6-4, 6-3.
