Princeton Has Nine Named To The NFHCA National Academic Squad

The Princeton field hockey team continued another tradition beyond just winning Ivy League championships and competing in the NCAA tournament in 2022.

Princeton had nine team members earn at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average through the end of the fall semester and as such were named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. The NFHCA raised the minimum GPA to be honored beginning with this season.

Of Princeton's nine honorees, there were three — Ophelie Bemelmans, Autumn Brown and Hannah Davey — who were honored for the fourth straight year.

In addition to those three, Princeton was also represented by Sam Davidson, Ava Dempsey, Helena Große, Ella Hampson, Ellie Manriquez and Bridget Murpy.

The NFHCA will announce its Scholars of Distinction, honoring those who have earned at least a 3.90, next week.

Princeton won the Ivy League championship this past fall, marking the 27^th time in program history that the team did so. Princeton also advanced to the NCAA tournament, falling in the opening round to Syracuse.
