Three from No.19 Men's Track & Field Qualify for NCAA Indoor Championships

Albuquerque, New Mexico – The NCAA announced its qualifiers for the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, and Sam Rodman, Sondre Guttormsen, and Greg Foster of the No. 19 Princeton University Men's Track & Field team all earned qualification to this year's championship.Â

On the track, Rodman will compete in the Men's 800m Run Prelims, thanks to his 2023 qualifying time of 1:46.96 at the BU Hemery Valentine Invitational. This performance currently ranks 13th in the NCAA and stands as the No. 1 all time Princeton Record.Â
In the field events, Sondre Guttormsen will compete in the Men's Pole Vault as the top, No. 1 seed. Guttormsen will be competing in the same venue in which he recorded his championship qualifying mark of 5.90 m from the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center. This performance from Guttormsen not only ranks first in the NCAA, but is the fifth, highest jump in NCAA history.Â
First year, Greg Foster, will be making his Indoor Championship debut for the Tigers competing in the Long Jump. Foster's 7.89m mark from the Wesley A. Brown Invitational earns him a chance to compete in Albuquerque. Foster is the only freshman who will be competing within the Long Jump at the championships, and his mark ranks 12th in the NCAA.Â
