Sondre Guttormsen Named Mid-Atlantic Region Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year by USTFCCCA

Princeton, N.J. - The United States Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its' Regional Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field season.
Within the Mid-Atlantic Region, Princeton's Sondre Guttormsen was named the Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA.
Guttormsen ended the 2023 indoor season as a NCAA indoor pole vault champion, earning his second consecutive indoor title and third NCAA title overall.
At this years' NCAA DI Indoor Championships, Guttormsen tied the collegiate record in the pole vault clearing 6.00m (19-8¼) to win the event title.
Throughout the 2023 season, he notched three all-time top-11 marks on the all-time collegiate chart, going from No. 6 to No. 1.
The Senior Pole Vaulter has also made several editions of the watch list for the Bowerman, including the most recent Men's Pre-NCAA edition of the watch list.
