Official Watch List Release
Princeton N.J. – Senior, Sondre Guttormsen has been named to the 2023 Men's Post-NCAA Indoor Championships Watch List for the Bowerman, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Guttormsen continues to be a consistent presence upon the watch list. He is one of just ten athletes on the official men's post-NCAA indoor watch list and has previously been listed upon the preseason, mid-indoor, and pre-NCAA Indoor Championships edition for 2023.
Guttormsen ended the 2023 indoor season as a NCAA indoor pole vault champion, earning his second consecutive indoor title and third NCAA title overall.
At this years' NCAA DI Indoor Championships, Guttormsen tied the collegiate record in the pole vault clearing 6.00m (19-8¼) to win the event title. Throughout the 2023 season, he notched three all-time top-11 marks on the all-time collegiate chart, going from No. 6 to No. 1.
In addition to being named to the latest edition of the Bowerman Watchlist, Guttormsen was also recently named the Mid-Atlantic Region Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year by USTFCCCA following his championship performance in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
With the outdoor season now in full swing, Guttormsen will look to continue his success throughout the spring as he continues to raise the bar on his journey to another NCAA Champion title.
