No. 6 Women's Water Polo Drops St. Francis; Secures No. 1 Seed in CWPA Tournament

ANN ARBOR – The No. 6 Princeton Women's Water Polo team scored eight consecutive goals to pull away from the St. Francis Red Flashes and earn a 12-4 victory to wrap up the regular season.

With the victory, the Tigers earned the No. 1 seed in the Collegiate Water Polo Tournament. They will play at 12 p.m. on Apr. 29 against the winner of the No. 3 seed vs No. 6 seeded St. Francis.

Princeton started off with three of the first four goals and led 3-2 after eight minutes. After St. Francis tied the contest, Princeton held the Red Flashes off the scoreboard for the next 18:29 of game action. The Tigers rattled off eight straight tallies during that stretch before St. Francis scored with 1:36 to go.

Five different players scored at least two goals for the Tigers. Lindsey Lucas had five saves in the win for Princeton who picked up its 27th victory of the season.
